The Yale Broadcast Studio meets high-level standards for commercial broadcast communications and media production. Based out of an 8,000-square-foot facility at 135 College Street, the Yale Broadcast Studio is home to two video recording studios, two control rooms, a radio studio, a green room, and a video-conferencing enabled meeting room.

This 1,300 square-foot (29 x 45 ft.) studio enables us to have a multiple set production stage or medium to large-scale, long-format productions. It is equipped with dedicated HD studio cameras, a teleprompter, fully stocked lighting grid, 1080p display monitors, and crane and dolly support. We have several backgrounds, including a green screen.

This 500-square-foot (20 x 25 ft) studio has two-HD cameras with a teleprompter and IFB and P/L capabilities. The Broadcast Studio staff uses this studio for satellite transmissions to major news networks and as secondary video or audio production space. Like Studio A, the space has interchangeable background graphics, including several with university branding.

The audio recording studio has ISDN and multi-channel broadcast capabilities. It is used for dedicated feeds to national and international radio networks as well as interview and podcast recordings. It is designed to accommodate multiple guest interview scenarios.

The Broadcast Studio has convenience suite with a green room and a ZOOM web-based conferencing enabled meeting space.

The green room, or lounge, is available for guest preparation, modest catering/craft services, and hair/make-up services. The conference room accommodates up to 12 people and has a large television monitor for video-conferencing or presentations.
